Kabui Dharma Sabha Manipur urged the concerned to record the Kabui tribe which is included a scheduled tribe list to be clearly listed as 'Kabui' in the 2011 census to safeguard the identity of the tribe.

Maintaining that some perpetrators are trying to harm the image of the tribe by giving different names, the body also urged the kabui community to try their best to retain the original name of the tribe in the coming census record.
